Talking to the Stars
Talking to the Stars
The body of work called ‘Talking to the Stars’ relates to the roots of the science of astronomy and man’s attempts to understand the interplay of stars, moon and planets in the heavens above him.
In many native or aboriginal cultures, the repeated shedding of the skin by the snake is equated to the repetition of the phases of the moon which in turn are equated to a rebirth in an afterlife. It is another example of relating in tale and myth, our experience here on Earth or in this case, what we imagine may be driving events occurring in the heavens.
All works above are about 10” by 14”
Acrylic on Masonite and framed in oak or cherry
Resurrection is 32” by 26” and framed in pine
