“My Voice”    Mail-Artists were asked to rise and give voice for those who are not being heard or represented by their governments.  Works came from Canada, England, Germany, Japan, Spain and the United States.

  The format of mail-art was chosen for “MY VOICE” because it allowed for both thoughtful and spontaneous expression of ideas.  Mail-art is about the expression of personal ideas and not about art as the ‘precious object’.    

    Art has the power to expose something of the universal in even the most individual works. We hoped that in a large body of these ‘personal expressions’ we might come to see that ‘MY VOICE’ is “OUR VOICE”.
