Left Brain / Right Brain

One of the most amazing aspects of our existence is the amount of information that our brains are capable of storing and recalling.  That organ is organized into two hemispheres that each process material differently.  The left hemisphere controls motion on the right side of the body and language functions such as grammar and vocabulary.   The processing of visual stimuli, spatial manipulation and artistic ability seem to be functions of the right hemisphere.

The surface of these paintings is embedded with both imagery and elements of language in a sometimes frenzied competition for attention.
